Punching shear for walls on raft foundation:

1. Usually walls are long elements and punching may not be critical. Only one-way shear checking may be sufficient.
2. However, for small length walls, it may be checked at d/2 similar to columns.
3. Shear design for columns: One example is attached here. Note that one face reinforcement is accounted for calculating c. Also, if Vu > Vuc, design as per beams.
