1. INTRODUCTION

• It has been proposed to design and construct of civil, structures and track works for double line railway involving formation in embankments/cuttings, ballast on formation, track works, bridges, structures, buildings, yards, integration with IR existing railway system and testing & commissioning on design-build lump sum basis for New Karchana Station (excluding) New Bhaupur Station (excluding) of Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor Project in the State of Uttar Pradesh.
• The present report deals with important bridge over river Yamuna for Package 202.
• The scope of the work in this part comprised of sinking 23 nos. bore holes. This preliminary report is prepared based on 5 nos. boreholes (BH-A1, P1, P2, P6 & A2) and few laboratory test results only.
