– There is no shear wall along the other orthogonal direction. Then, how the base shear will be carried by the shear walls in that direction?

If this is a dual system, the shear walls need to carry most of the base shears and columns are required to be designed for 25% base shear at least. So, the other direction shall also be provided with shear walls.

It will be helpful for me to know if there is something else regarding this.
